Popular Inquiry: The Journal of the Aesthetics of Kitsch, Camp and Mass Culture is a peer- and double blind-reviewed open-access online journal dedicated to the study of the philosophical aesthetics of popular culture.
We distribute the journal in four different ways. The Aalto University webpages (popularinquiry.aalto.fi) function as a permanent base and archive for the articles. The same articles, together with job announcements, call for papers and other news, are distributed on Facebook (Popular Inquiry), Twitter (@PopularInquiry) and soon also on the Popular Inquiry blog (http://popularinquiry.net). By liking our Facebook page or following us on Twitter you receive links to all our publications immediately as they are published.
We publish annually one spring and one fall issue. The spring issue consists of an editorial and four articles. The fall consists of an editorial and four articles. The articles can be interviews with distinguished scholars or popular culture intellectuals. Both the Spring and the Fall issue include an overlook of what has been happening within the discipline (including a list of publications we have encountered). From time to time we also publish special issues. We also publish non-academic theoretical essays.
