Popular Inquiry: The Journal of the Aesthetics of Kitsch, Camp and Mass Culture is a peer- and double blind-reviewed open-access online journal dedicated to the study of the philosophical aesthetics of popular culture.
We distribute the journal in four different ways. The “blog” version that you are reading, is the primary publication - and the one which gets updated first (and as scheduled). Aalto University Finland has offered us a a safe archive page, where all texts are eventually published too. All articles are distributed on Facebook and Twitter. By liking our Facebook page or following us on Twitter you receive links to all our publications easily soon after their publication.
We publish annually one spring and one fall issue. All issues consist of a minimum of an editorial and four articles. The articles can also be interviews with distinguished scholars or popular culture intellectuals. From time to time we also publish special issues. We also publish non-academic theoretical essays.
